Persona 5 Royal's Challenge Battle Mode Features Persona 3 and 4 Characters

Plus, new details on the My Palace feature.

Today (October 3), Atlus premiered a brand new 'Morgana's Report' video to introduce a new look at Persona 5 Royal. Finally, the long-rumored 'My Palace' feature was shown off in full, and it'll allow you to create your very own Palace from scratch.

You can rewatch the full Morgana's Report in untranslated Japanese just below, which runs for about 10 minutes. Atlus has released video like this before, which feature everyone's favorite feline giving their own presentation for Persona 5 Royal, Nintendo Direct-style.

Details are a little scant on the My Palace feature for Persona 5 Royal right now, but we did see areas being connected like floor tiles in the presentation. It looks like you'll be able to manually select which enemies are placed on certain tiles, as well as selecting a battle theme for the entire Palace.

Morgana also briefly talked about the Challenge Battle mode for Persona 5 Royal. This mode will let you select a team of characters and see how far you can get in successive battles against Shadows, with rewards increasing the further you make it. Yu, the protagonist of Persona 4, and Makoto, the protagonist of Persona 3, will be playable in the Challenge Battle mode.

Persona 5 Royal releases October 31 in Japan, and Spring 2020 in the West. For a complete recap of everything we know about the re-release so far, head over to our full Persona 5 Royal guide.
