New SteamWorld Game Coming in 2017 For Studio's 20th Anniversary

Image & Form Games is already prepared for the next year.

The team at Image & Form has had a good 2016. The studio released SteamWorld Collection, SteamWorld Heist HD, and SteamWorld Heist on iOS. 2017 is also the 20th anniversary of Image & Form Games, so the studio is ready to celebrate.

In a video, founder Brjánn Sigurgeirsson and community manager Julius Guldbog talked about the history of the studio and how Image & Form will be celebrating 2017.

"We have some really exciting stuff planned for 2017. The biggest by far is SteamWorld Project 2017," said Guldbog.

"There is a great game coming from Image & Form in 2017," added Sigurgeirsson. "Before that, I'm going to be at GDC in San Francisco."

"We're also going to travel outside of our office. We'll be at PAX East in Boston. Come meet us, say 'Hi', play some games, and have a lovely time," Guldbog said.

Image & Form wants 2017 to be a big year, so they're promising other show appearances and giveaways. There's also the return of SteamWorld Ambassador Challenges, where players can help the studio develop the game by designing in-game characters and items. Challenge winners will get Early Access SteamWorld game keys on all platforms.

Third-person action-adventure games are his personal poison: Uncharted, Infamous, and Assassin's Creed just to name a few. If you see him around a convention, he's not hard to spot: Black guy, glasses, and a tie.
