You Can Play With Saquon Barkley And Other Rookies From Tonight's NFL Draft in Madden 18

Here's how to add Baker Mayfield and company to your Madden Ultimate Team.

The NFL Draft commences tonight at 5pm PT/8pm ET, and all eyes will be on the Cleveland Browns as they decide which future careers to ruin with the first overall pick. To celebrate, Madden 18 will once again be releasing the first round of rookies via Madden Ultimate Team.

Rookies including Saquon Barkley, Sam Darnold, and Bradley Chubb will be released in in Madden 18 in the order in which they're drafted. Some will be earnable through special sets, while others will be available via packs.

Draft order will determine the overall rating of these players. So if rumors are true and the Browns take Baker Mayfield first overall, he will be rated 99 overall.

To prepare for the draft, EA launched their Madden 18 draft challenges earlier this week—a series of 32 missions in which you can earn up to 77,000 coins, 15 redeemable badgets, and an NFL Draft Future Start Token Item. They're part of EA's usual rotation of solo challenges, which are very useful for grinding and earning new players in Ultimate Team.

Alas, you won't be able to fulfill Josh Rosen's destiny and add him to the New England Patriots in your franchise mode. The rookies are only available via Ultimate Team. EA has to keep the hype train rolling for Madden 19 somehow.

The NFL Draft commences at 5pm PT/8pm ET, upon which EA will begin releasing the rookies to Madden 18. The entire first round of the draft will be available by the end of the night.
