Nicalis Has Released a Mysterious Teaser Trailer For The Binding of Isaac: Repentance

As to what it is exactly? We have no idea.

Nicalis, the developer behind the The Binding of Isaac series, has just teased...something. It’s called The Binding of Isaac: Repentance, and is accompanied by a short teaser showing off the title art, and not much else.

There is something to be gleaned from the short trailer, and that is that The Binding of Isaac: Repentance will be at PAX 2018 at Booth 233. This suggests that it is indeed a game, though we will have to wait and see.

The Binding of Isaac: Repentance announcement has sent fans into a tailspin, as they try to work out what the hell the new project could be. Many have suggested that the knife shown in the teaser could be an allusion to Antibirth, a fan-made expansion for The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. Given the series’ penchant for expansions and re-releases, it’s possible that The Binding of Isaac: Repentance is another expansion in the vein of Afterbirth, which would certainly be something that fans would be happy with.

We’ll be sure to bring you more news for The Binding of Isaac: Repentance as we get it. In the meantime, let us know what you hope it is, in the comments below.
