Nier: Automata's 2B Coming to Soul Calibur 6 This Month

"Glory to Mankind!"

We knew that 2B from Nier: Automata would be coming to Soul Calibur 6 as a fighter, but we didn't know when. Now, we know that the mechanical fighter will be arriving in the game on December 18 as part of the Season Pass.

Just below, you can see the announcement of the release date for 2B in Soul Calibur 6, through the official Soul Calibur 6 Twitter account. The promotion art includes Pod 042, so It looks like this companion robot will be joining 2B in some capacity, but we're not yet sure how.

In other Nier: Automata news, Square Enix recently announced that the game would be re-released in February 2019 in a Game of the Year package, called the 'Game of the YorHa Edition.' It'll contain all DLC, which boasts 15 avatars, a new arena mode, and more, releasing for PC and PS4 on February 26.

Here at USgamer, it's no secret that we're sort of in love with Nier: Automata. In 2017, we spoke with Nier director Yoko Taro about the creation of the sequel, and we also spoke at length on the USgamer podcast about why it was one of our favorite games of the last year.

Staff Writer

Hirun Cryer is by far the most juvenile member of USgamer. He's so juvenile, that this is his first full-time job in the industry, unlike literally every other person featured on this page. He's written for The Guardian, Paste Magazine, and Kotaku, and he likes waking up when the sun rises and roaming the nearby woods with the bears and the wolves.
