Ninja Gaiden 2 Leads the Latest Wave of Xbox One X Enhanced Backward Compatible Games

Ninja Gaiden 2, along with Splinter Cell and Fable, is also Xbox One X Enhanced.

Ninja Gaiden 2 is the latest game to join the Xbox One backward compatibility program. Announced during the newest episode of Inside Xbox, Ninja Gaiden 2 can be played now on modern Xbox One and Xbox One X consoles. As a bonus, Ninja Gaiden 2 has been enhanced for the latter console.

Ninja Gaiden 2 was originally released for the Xbox 360 in 2008. Like the first Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Gaiden 2 is a frenzied ninja action game where players slice their way through enemies and challenging bosses. Like all Xbox backward compatible games, players can either boot up a physical game disc for Ninja Gaiden 2, or, play a digital copy they own.

Microsoft also announced a slate of Xbox One X enhanced titles including a variety of Spinter Cell and Fable games. Splinter Cell Double Agent, Conviction, and Blacklist, as well as Fable 2 and 3 are all Xbox One X enhanced and can be played now on modern Xbox One hardware.

The rest of today's Inside Xbox showcase was dedicated to finally announcing the disc-less Xbox One S All-Digital edition, a new premium Game Pass subscription that includes Xbox Live Gold, and a new Eleague collaboration with Gears of War 5.
