Ninjala: One Unit of the Equipped Ninja-Gum Will Be Consumed Per Battle Explained
Ninjala has an extremely strange approach to weapon skins, one that can even lock you out of battles if you don't know what's going on. Here's what to do if you get the 'One Unit of the Equipped Ninja-Gum Will Be Consumed Per Battle' message.
Ninjala's multiplayer mode is free to play, but there are a bunch of cosmetic items that you can either buy or earn. The majority of the skins you'll get will be Ninja Gum weapon cosmetics. If you've equipped a new skin you may find yourself unable to join a match, with a message popping up that reads 'One Unit of the Equipped Ninja-Gum Will Be Consumed Per Battle'. Here's what this means.

If you get the message saying that Ninja-Gum Consumption is enabled before heading into a match, just press the X button to agree to the conditions. This will allow you to play online, but the weapon skin you are using will use Ninja-Gum units for each match. This essentially means that you can only play a couple of matches with each skin before it is lost forever.
Can You Add Ninja-Gum to Weapon Skins?
Each new weapon skin you get in Ninjala has a certain amount of Ninja-Gum and therefore uses. You cannot buy back uses for these skins, so can only use them a certain amount of times before they degrade. We recommend not using skins unless you're happy to lose them.

We'll be writing more guides (and a review) on Ninjala in the coming weeks. If you're struggling with anything in particular, let us know in the comments below.
