Nintendo Celebrates Mario Day with Discounts and Bundles on the Best Mario Games

But when's Luigi Day?

It seems like every day there's some kind of pop culture-adjacent day of celebration. March 10 for instance is Mario Day (Mar 10 = Mar10 = Mario), and to celebrate Nintendo is holding a weeklong Nintendo Switch promotion for Mario games.

Mario Day sales includes discounts on select Nintendo Switch bundles and Mario Switch games. Between March 10 and March 16, customers can purchase a Nintendo Switch and one of five pre-selected Mario games for $329.99, which $30 less than what customers would be paying separately.

If you already own a Switch, you can still purchase a digital download code for any of the five Mario games for $39.99, or $20 off. The Mario games included in the celebration sale are: Super Mario Party, Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Tennis Aces, and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe.

You can't really go wrong with any of those Mario games, though we recommend Super Mario Odyssey if you haven't played it already. The first mainline 3D Mario game for the Switch, we named Super Mario Odyssey the fourth best game of 2017. But again, you can't really go wrong with any other choice considering the list includes the best Mario Kart game, and a great port of the Wii U's New Super Mario Bros. U.
