Nintendo Confirms Diablo 3 Switch Release Date

Reap on the go.

Diablo 3: Eternal Collection is coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year, but during the announcement we didn't get a firm release date. Now, hours ahead of Nintendo's planned Direct, Nintendo of America announced that Diablo 3 will be coming out on November 2, the first day of BlizzCon.

Diablo 3: Eternal Collection bundles together the base game along with the Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer expansions. There's also going to be some Nintendo-specific bonuses like the Ganondorf gear set and other Switch-exclusive cosmetics.

Other than that, it's the same Diablo 3 you've grown to love including local and online multiplayer for up to four players. Diablo 3 will require Nintendo's paid online subscription service, so you'll need to find out more details in today's Nintendo Direct about the upcoming Switch Online service. Nintendo Switch online is set to drop on September 18.

For more on Diablo 3 Switch, check out our preview from last month, and expect to see more details between today's Direct and BlizzCon.

If you're wondering how to get your hands on Diablo 3 for Switch's exclusive items, we've got a full guide covering how to get the Diablo 3 Switch Ganondorf armor set. Be warned, though, that you'll have to play the game for a long time to access it. We've also got a complete Diablo 3 Class guide, if you're new to the game.

Sometimes we include links to online retail stores. If you click on one and make a purchase we may receive a small commission. See our terms & conditions.
