Nintendo has announced a new Dr. Mario mobile game set to launch this summer. Titled Dr. Mario World, Nintendo is developing the new puzzle game in partnership with the mobile messaging app Line.
In a press release, Nintendo announced that Dr. Mario World will be co-developed and jointly operated with Line. Nintendo only released a logo for Dr. Mario World, but says it will be a free-to-download puzzle game with optional in-app purchases. Dr. Mario World will be released on both iOS and Android.

It's not clear exactly how the partnership with Line will play into Dr. Mario World. Nintendo previously collaborated on mobile smartphone games with developers DeNA and Cygames. In the press release, Nintendo says it intends to utilize "both companies' strengths" with Dr. Mario World. Line currently serves 165 million monthly active users in key Asian markets.
Dr. Mario World will be coming out in the same period as Mario Kart Tour, a mobile game based on Nintendo's popular racing series. Nintendo announced earlier today that Mario Kart Tour will be delayed from the fiscal year ending on March 31 to sometime this summer.
Dr. Mario World will join other Nintendo smartphone games like Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, Fire Emblem Heroes, and Super Mario Run.
