Nintendo is Releasing a Legend of Zelda-themed 2DS for Black Friday

A new Breath of the Wild game bundle is also in the cards.

News by Matt Kim, .

Halloween is over, which means the holidays (and holiday deals) begin in earnest starting today. Kicking things off is Nintendo which announced two new Zelda themed Holiday bundles for the 2DS and Switch.

First up is a new Zelda themed 2DS which includes a digital copy of The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D. The bundle will cost $79.99, which is how much a 2DS normally retails for. Though this time it comes with one of the best 3DS games on the system.

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Explorer's Edition

Next up is a new Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild "Explorer's Edition". The new bundle includes the base game along with a 100-page "explorer's guide" and two-sided map. It will retail for $59.99. However, the DLC for Breath of the Wild will not be included with the new bundle.

Of course, you could also just check out our own Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild guide if you really need the help.

The two new bundles are being marketed alongside Nintendo's other holiday bundles including the new Super Mario Odyssey Switch bundle which comes with the Switch, a copy of Super Mario Odyssey, Mario-themed red Joy-cons, and a Mario Odyssey-themed carrying case. The Switch bundle will sell for $379.99.

Both the Zelda 2DS and Breath of the Wild bundle will go on sale during Black Friday.

Still need to pick up Breath of the Wild but right now December game is Xenoblade 2 (already preordered the collector edition like I did with Xenoblade X) . Plus I don't really want to map considering the whole idea is to explore and not know what to expect. Nintendo really seem to be doing good with balancing 3DS and Switch. Can't see many games in development but there's still a good number of games that still need to be localized which Atlus is doing well by.

@The-Challenger there was a video from Aonuma at PAX Aus last week saying that it is still on track for 2017 and that they are hard at work.

That's as much we know though.
