The Nintendo Switch is Getting Wireless NES Joy-Cons Specifically for Retro Games

Sharp.

Nintendo is releasing a pair of NES controllers for the Nintendo Switch. That's right, for the Switch. These retro controllers will connect wirelessly to the Switch and can be used for the many retro NES games coming to the Switch.

The Nintendo Switch NES controllers will be sold in packs of two with each NES controller serving as the left and right Joy-cons. They can be charged by docking them into the Switch tablet as you would a Joy-Con.

These NES controllers are the first controller peripherals Nintendo has released for the Switch as many predicted Nintendo would when the Switch was first announced. No word yet on any similar controllers for the SNES, but check the Nintendo Direct for more info.
