Now You Can Argue About Tifa's Character Design in Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Too

2019 is shaping up to be the year of Tifa.

Tifa Lockhart is bringing her fists to Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, Team Ninja's Final Fantasy fighting game. She will be added as a DLC character on July 2 for PC and July 3 on PlayStation 4.

After a big reveal at E3 for Final Fantasy 7 Remake, the Tifa craze continues as she joins Dissidia Final Fantasy NT's roster of playable fighters. She will be the third Final Fantasy 7 character to join the Dissidia Final Fantasy NT roster following Cloud Strife and Sephiroth.

You can watch her official reveal in the trailer below. Tifa is a speed-type fighter, and you can see her zipping across the stage and beating Sephiroth to a pulp. You can even see her Beat Rush Limit Break mechanic at the 52 second mark.

Tifa will receive a couple alternate costumes and weapons, including her outfit from the film Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children.

Dissidia Final Fantasy was first released on Japanese arcades back in 2015. A PlayStation 4 version was released worldwide in 2018 with a new "NT" subtitle. Despite the "greatest hits" feeling of being able to play as popular characters across the Final Fantasy series, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT lacks a certain smoothness its predecessors on the PSP had.

Tifa's been having something of a resurgence as of late thanks to the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Though some small number of players are less than pleased with her redone appearance for reasons that really aren't worth getting up in arms about.
