The monster-taming, dance-battling chill game Ooblets went into Early Access last week with plenty of adorable pals to collect. Part of the game's customization is what duds your avatar can don, and over the weekend, Ooblets got a fresh stock of clothes that, as it turns out, had already been there to begin with.
In a recent hotfix detailed on the Ooblets Discord, the devs noted that they fixed a bug where the clothing shop didn't add new items from upgrades purchased through the wishy well. As developer Ben Wasser explained to me over Discord, the system was "overzealous" in what it prioritized, so some items weren't showing up.
The new line of clothes, as showcased in a Twitter video on the Ooblets feed, should now be available for players. And I must say, they sure are some snazzy looks. As well as re-enabling some clothing options, there have been a number of hotfixes to Ooblets over the last few days, including optimizations, more bug fixes, and even a respawn button for if you get stuck somewhere. Please use it responsibly.
Ooblets is live now in early access, after years of development and building its systems up over time. It's a chill game with a little bit of Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon, and Pokemon all mixed into one somehow harmonious experience. It's already hooked one of us with its charm, and it probably won't be long until I am too. You can check out Ooblets on the Epic Games Store on PC or on Xbox One.
