Overwatch Adds Halloween Skins, Weapons, and Poses Today

If you're willing to hunt down the loot boxes, your favorite Overwatch characters can get in the Halloween spirit.

With today's update, Overwatch will be getting into the Halloween spirit. From October 11 to November 1, the game will be celebrating the season with the new Halloween Terror event. This event means new loot boxes, which contain Halloween-themed skins and victory poses. There's also new spooky weapon skins for players to pick up during the event.

The best part is unlike the Summer Games event, players can buy the new skins with coins. One of the issues fans like myself had with the previous event is they were limited time and there was no option to grind your way towards your skin of choice. Instead, you had to hope luck was on your side in the Loot Box rolls. So this is a good change.

Given that, your best bet is to wait to buy skins when the event is nearly over. This saves you from buying a skin and then getting it in a Loot Box.

The event is marked by a new brawl: Junkenstein's Revenge. This will pit a team of 4 against the minions of Dr. Junkenstein (the Halloween-themed Junkrat) in what sounds to be the first PVE Horde mode for the game. The only heroes allowed are Ana, Hanzo, McCree, and Soldier: 76, with no duplicate heroes and no switching.

Below, you can find all of the available Halloween skins:

If you see him around a convention, he's not hard to spot: Black guy, glasses, and a tie.
