PSA: Overwatch is Free on all Consoles This Weekend

Now's a good a time as any.

Overwatch is hosting a free weekend.

Starting today, you can play Overwatch on the PC, PlayStation 4, or Xbox One for free from September 22 to 25. You'll have access to the full roster of characters and maps along with the many modes playable in the game. You can even level up and earn Loot Boxes. Blizzard says you will keep your progress and items if you decide to purchase the full game once the free weekend is over as long as you use the same Blizzard, PSN, or Xbox Live account to make the purchase.

If you do decide to purchase the full game after trying it out for free, Blizzard will help you out a bit by offering $20 USD off both the standard and Game of the Year edition for a limited time. You can also upgrade to the Game of the Year Edition for $9.99 instead of $19.99. The discount will end on September 28 at midnight.

So if you're reading this and you haven't played Overwatch yet and are confused by all the cool fanart and cosplay and lore, this is as good a time as any to catch up on all things Overwatch.

Sometimes we include links to online retail stores. If you click on one and make a purchase we may receive a small commission. See our terms & conditions.
