Overwatch's Lunar New Year Legendary Skins This Year are Badass

Year of the dog is a pretty good year for skins.

The Overwatch Lunar New Year event is upon us, celebrating the Year of the Dog. Along with a newly revamped Capture the Flag mode, we have six new Legendary Skins for our Overwatch heroes that want to celebrate the new year in style. Check them out below.

The outfits this year are pretty lit. Zarya, Genji, and McCree all have some Asian-inspired military armor, while Widowmaker receives a traditional dress outfit, Pharah gets a badass dragon armor, and Mercy a phoenix armor. There are also an additional 50 themed items for the event. All in all, it's a pretty badass year for Overwatch outfits.

In a recent developer video, game director Jeff Kaplan revealed that there were some major updates made to this Lunar New Year's Capture the Flag that got rid of ties, as well as some gameplay tweaks. There is also a new competitive season for CTF that will reward top players with exclusive prizes. There's also a new Thailand map called "Ayutthaya" that will host the festivities.

Year of the Dog kicks off in Overwatch today, February 8, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
