Overwatch's Next Event is the Year of the Rooster on Jan 24

Blizzard teases new skins inspired by the Chinese New Year.

Blizzard has teased the next event coming to Overwatch. The Year of the Rooster is inspired by the Chinese Lunar New Year, which begins on January 28, 2017 this year and celebrates... the year of the Rooster. Blizzard's event begins slightly earlier on January 24, 2017.

Blizzard has teased two new skins for the event. The North American Overwatch account teased a new Mei skin, addressing complaints that the character has had a great Legendary skin yet. The second skin was shown on the Korean Overwatch account, with D.Va in a hanbok and a new look for her mech.

M.H. Williams is new to the journalism game, but he's been a gamer since the NES first graced American shores. Third-person action-adventure games are his personal poison: Uncharted, Infamous, and Assassin's Creed just to name a few. If you see him around a convention, he's not hard to spot: Black guy, glasses, and a tie.
