Find the Culprit in Paradise Killer Next Week on PC and Switch
Celebrate the end of summer with a murder mystery.
Paradise is dead, and it's your job to find out who, how, and even why. The open-world murder mystery game Paradise Killer launches next week on Sept. 4, and it's adding a Nintendo Switch port to the list.
Previously confirmed for PC, developer Kaizen Game Works will also be delivering its upcoming detective game to Nintendo Switch as well. Both PC and Switch will launch on Sept. 4, 2020, with a 20% discount during the pre-order phase.
Paradise Killer is an open-world detective game that I've had my eye on for a while. It's got some serious Danganronpa vibes, but rather than a killing game, Paradise Killer is about discovering the truth—or at least, the most palatable, packageable version of it. Playing as Lady Love Dies, an exiled investigator brought back to the regenerating island of Paradise to find out who has killed the Council.
A big draw is that there are many possible culprits, and you can build a case against any of them. Will you put away the easy suspect, or try to find some deeper truth? There's a demo available on Steam which lets you get a feel for the game, to see just how the open-world aspect plays out. We played it on a recent Friday stream, and even having played it twice before, I was finding new evidence and avenues of investigation. If it can keep up the pace and tension of the short demo, it could be pretty fun to see just how deep the rabbit hole of lies, deception, and murder goes in Paradise.
Paradise Killer hits PC and Nintendo Switch on Sept. 4, 2020.
