Paradox: Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 Returning to Epic Games Store "Soon," Discounted Sales Will be Honored
If you got the new Vampire the Masquerade on sale, lucky you.
Epic Games is holding its first major sale on the Epic Games Store today. However, some games like Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 were only briefly eligible for the sale before getting pulled. Now publisher Paradox says that it's working with Epic to get the game back up on the store soon.
Today is the start of the Epic Mega Sale, the first storewide sale on the Epic Games Store. Plenty of games are on sale for varying discounts and Epic is throwing in an additional $10 flat discount on any game over $14.99. The discount is at no cost to developers or publishers, so that cut is coming out of Epic's pocket.
However, there are some notable exceptions to the Epic Mega Sale. Games from Ubisoft are noticeably absent, and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was only briefly available on sale before getting pulled entirely from the Epic Games Store.
Now, Paradox Interactive public relations manager Jesse Henning says the company is working with Epic to get the game back on the store soon. "We are in discussion with Epic regarding the temporary removal of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 from the Epic Game Store," says Henning. "The game will return to the store soon! Any purchases made while the game was discounted during the Epic Mega sale will be honored and no Masquerade violations will be assessed."
It's unclear if Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will return to the Epic Games Store in time for the sale, which ends on June 13, 2019. But if you were one of the early customers who got Bloodlines 2 while it was on sale, then looks like you lucked out.
A reddit thread discussing a Russian video game report suggests that Epic Games Store's regional pricing had something to do with Bloodline's removal. But we are unable to confirm the reports.
There are other notable absences from the Epic Mega Sale. Klei's Oxygen Not Included has been removed from the Epic Games Store for the sale, and there are no Ubisoft titles like The Division 2 or Anno 1800, either. Epic couldn't comment on when we might see Ubisoft titles return to the store.
Either way, it sounds like Paradox is working to get Vampire back to the Epic Games Store. Whether it'll be discounted when it returns is still uncertain, however.
