PAX West 2019 Panels

PAX West will host a number of panels during the weekend event. Let's highlight some of them in the list below:

  • Rock Paper Shotgun's Game Design Hotseat - Nate Crowley poses nightmarish design challenges to developers, like ‘you’ve got to make a god game controlled with bongos’ or ‘you’ve got to make a 1v1 fighting game with no visual element at all’. The audience chooses the best pitch by way of applause and/or hooting. (Fri 08/30 12: PM - 1:00 PM)
  • Historical & Visual Transgender Representation in RPGs - Humanity in all of its diversity has been depicted in various forms since the advent of the hobby. This panel explores how transgender representation in roleplaying games has evolved. We will examine an analysis of trans-representation in the tabletop industry, as well as discuss inclusion & implementation of transgender narratives from both a player & GM perspective. Join a panel of notable gamers, with a myriad of gender identities & experiences across the gender spectrum. (FRI 08/30 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM)
  • Eurogamer Presents: Totally Realistic and True Predictions for Gaming in 2039 (FRI 08/30 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM)
  • The Kinda Funny Games Showcase: PAX Edition - For PAX, let’s face it: you won’t have time to see all the games. So in this panel, Greg Miller will handpick eight games (or so) to show you in an hour long panel. We’ll do demos, chat with the devs, do some giveaways, and (hopefully) have ONE. MORE. THING. (FRI 08/30 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM)
  • Dicebreaker Presents: Werewolf Live Starring Outside Xbox, Outside Xtra and You? - Congratulations! You now live in a lovely village with members of Outside Xbox and Outside Xtra. Oh no! It’s infested with werewolves! Will you survive this raucous panel of deception, finger pointing and gruesome murder? There’s only one way to find out… (FRI 08/30 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM)
  • USGamer and GameXplain LIVE at PAX West! - The crew of the popular Youtube channel GameXplain join USG writers Nadia Oxford, Mike Williams, and Eric Van Allen live at PAX West!(FRI 08/30 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM)
  • VG247 Presents: So You Think You Can Act? Video Game Actors and a Casting Director will Rate Your Performance (SAT 08/31 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM)
  • USGamer Presents: Test Your Might Against Justin Wong in Granblue Fantasy Versus and Win Prizes (SAT 08/31 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM)
