Back at E3 2016, Atlus revealed that there won't be a dual audio option available for Persona 5. Atlus PR manager John Hardin confirmed on Twitter that the publisher was looking into adding the Japanese voice acting as DLC, but until that becomes a reality, you should prepare yourself for the English voices. Today, Atlus revealed the English voice cast for Persona 5.
- Protagonist – Xander Mobus
- Morgana – Cassandra Morris
- Ryuji Sakamoto – Max Mittelman
- Ann Takamaki – Erika Harlacher
- Yusuke Kitagawa – Matt Mercer
- Makoto Niijima – Cherami Leigh
- Futaba Sakura – Erica Lindbeck
- Haru Okumura – Xanthe Huynh
- Goro Akechi – Robbie Daymond
The English voice cast supervised is by the long-time Persona series project lead in North America, Yu Namba.
"We at Atlus U.S.A. take pride in the quality and care we put into casting and dubbing for our games, and Persona 5 is no exception," said Namba. "This is a completely new cast of characters, so we started with a blank slate in bringing life to them with our stellar cast of voice actors. It's hard saying goodbye to the cast of previous Persona games, but we hope to bring an entirely new tone with a new set of actors for this game."
Atlus is releasing a highlight video and interview for each voice actor from now until the North American release. The series kicks off with the Protagonist, voiced by Xander Mobus.
Persona 5 is coming for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation on February 14, in the Americas and Europe.
