Persona 5 Scramble Promises a Happy Reunion for the Phantom Thieves

Persona 5 Scramble Promises a Happy Reunion for the Phantom Thieves

Here's our first look at Joker-specific gameplay for Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers.

Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers looks set to bring our familiar cast of characters back together for an encore. In a new gameplay trailer, we can see Joker gunning through crowds of shadowy enemies, but not before the Phantom Thieves have what looks to be a reunion party.

Below, you can see the new gameplay trailer for the spin-off epilogue game, which focuses on protagonist Joker's combat prowess. Yes, Persona 5 Scramble is a sequel to the base game from 2017, as it reunites the Phantom Thieves six months after the main game ends.

At the beginning of the trailer, you can see a snippet of the reunion party. It looks like Ann, Ryuji, Morgana, Makoto, Futaba, Yusuke, Haru, and even Sojiro will be throwing a party for protagonist Ren's return to Cafe LeBlanc. As those who completed the main game will know, the conclusion of Persona 5 had Ren departing Tokyo, leaving behind the rest of the cast for the foreseeable future.

Persona 5 Scramble might be a spin-off game in the vein of the Dynasty Warriors game (plus it's developed by Koei Tecmo), but it's very much a part of the Persona 5 storyline.

Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers releases on February 20, 2020 in Japan, for the PS4, and Nintendo Switch. There's currently no western release date scheduled for the spin-off, but you can head over to our main Persona 5 Scramble guide for everything we know about the game so far.
