Konami's soccer series has signed a big one. Manchester United is signed on to appear in eFootball PES 2020, including full-body scans of popular players both current and former, as well as kits and Old Trafford, the team's arena.
Players like Paul Pogba appear in full in PES 2020, kitted out just like in real life. In the trailer, you can see various Manchester United stars being scanned into the game and shown in virtual form, so you can see the likeness for yourself.
While the signing nets Konami and PES the team, it also carries a stable of previous players who will be joining the lineup. David Beckham is already confirmed as an exclusive player for PES 2020, and the team is teasing more "MUFC Legends" to come.
Our new partnership with @ManUtd doesn't just bring the club of today to #eFootballPES2020...- Pro Evolution Soccer (@officialpes) July 2, 2019
It brings Manchester LEGENDS to the game too, just like DB7 himself who is EXCLUSIVE to us!

This is a big get for Konami, who has often struggled to get star power compared to its titanic competition in Electronic Arts' FIFA franchise. Last year it was using an aged Beckham as its selling point, so having some more concrete backing from all of Manchester helps a little. While its presentation is lacking, Kat still found it to be a solid soccer simulation despite FIFA's rampant popularity.
Perhaps this is the star power PES needs to pose a threat? We'll see on September 10, but if you're aching to get some minutes on the pitch sooner than that, a demo is on the way for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, set for July 30.
