A few days ago, the official PlatinumGames Twitter account released an image featuring Bayonetta that recalled the color scheme of the Neon Nintendo Switch. At the time, fans speculated that PlatinumGames, one of Nintendo's original Switch development and publishing partners, might be planning on porting Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 to the platform.
PG modeler Eiji Funahashi welcomes @platinumgames_j with some Wonderful Ones enjoying our office game area. Hey, isn't that Wonder Director? http://go.redirectingat.com?id=87431X1573192&xs=1&url=https%3A%2F%2Ft.co%2FnaNtxyHthD— PlatinumGames Inc. (@platinumgames) July 6, 2017
Today, the PlatinumGames' Twitter has released another image, this time focused on the Wonderful 101. The image shows Wonder-Green and Wonder-Director playing games with what looks to be a new member of the crew. Wonder-Director and the new character look to be playing with Famicon-themed Switch Joy-Cons. Wonder-Director is a reference to Wonderful 101 director Hideki Kamiya, of course.
Like last time, there's no indication whether these images are teasing Switch ports, or whether PlatinumGames is just going through its backlog to tease a brand-new title for the platform. Outside of Star Fox Zero, Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2 are the only PlatinumGames titles made for Nintendo platforms and published by Nintendo. If we expand to titles published by Sega, then perhaps there's forthcoming teases for MadWorld and Infinite Space?
Regardless, PlatinumGames is clearly leading up to something Switch-related.
