Sorry, you won't be leaping out of windows or vaulting over low walls just yet. Regardless, a new hefty monthly patch for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is on the way to the popular Battle Royale title this week. The patch will balance some things in particular—most notably loot drops—while also adding a few more quirks.
Detailed in its entirety on its patch notes on Steam, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' new patch will be adding new weapons (the Groza, an AR chambered gun and the P18C pistol), destructibility of "cabins" (likely those small sheds off the side of the road), new weather settings (sunsets and clear, blue skies baby), and additional smaller changes. The loot drops, from gun placements to amounts of certain weapons, seem to be the most significant changes in the update overall, ideally shifting the balance of the game in terms of available weapons at a given time.
This will be the third major patch implemented to the game since its launch in Early Access just months ago. Recently, the game crossed a major milestone of four million sales, which is nearly unheard of in the realm of Early Access games. PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds will be releasing in its entirety on PC and Xbox One in 2018, with major monthly updates planned throughout its life in Early Access.
