PlayStation Days of Play Promo May Be Returning Soon

Grab your hammer and prepare to slaughter your piggy bank.

An Italian Amazon listing for a 500 GB PlayStation 4 suggests Sony's Days of Play is returning next month. That means good deals on PlayStation 4 hardware and games might be on their way, so hold on to your hat. If you're not wearing a hat, just clutch your scalp.

Restera member manustany shone a spotlight on the Amazon listing earlier today. "The title confirm [sic] that 'Days of Play' promo is back during the next E3, so expect some good deals," they wrote. "Last year 500GB PS4 was €199, 12 months of PS Plus €39.99, Horizon ZD €39.99 plus other good offers."

Sony's previous Days of Play summer celebration was held June 9 through 17 last year, so the timing checks out. Several new releases (at the time), including Horizon Zero Dawn and Nioh, were half-price for the duration of the event. A limited-edition gold PS4 was also available for $249.99 USD, and the Amazon Italy listing also mentions a limited edition PS4 is available this year. No image is provided, however, and details are scant beyond the console being a Slim model with a 500 GB hard drive.

If Days of Play is indeed returning, we'll hear about it sooner than later. Maybe we'll get another commercial like last year's pitch to stay indoors, far away from the sun, and play video games. See, this is advertising that speaks to my soul.
