Pokemon Go Gen 4 is Finally Here, and So is Our Lord and Savior Bidoof

Generation 4 of Pokemon Go has arrived, and with it, Judgement Day.

A new generation is upon us, Pokémon Go fans. Generation 4 dropped earlier today, which means it's time to become friends with a whole new line-up of Pokémon—and maybe put that pile of Murkrow candies you've been hoarding to use, finally.

You might have to wait a little bit before you can evolve Murkrow into the fluffy and beautiful Honchkrow, actually. The Sinnoh Pokémon are coming in waves, so the full roster isn't available yet. I personally entered the app and immediately happened upon a Bidoof. Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord.

The trailer for Generation 4 gives us an idea of what to look forward to. We catch glimpses of Sinnoh's starters (Piplup, Chimchar, and Turtwig) as well as Garchomp, Glaceon, Leafeon (hooray!), and Lucario, the fan-favorite / uninspired Mewtwo rip-off (it depends on whom you ask). We also catch a quick glimpse of the great looming Giratina. No doubt you'll have to acquire it through a raid; you're not going to find Sinnoh's chaos god slumming around your neighborhood Starbucks, waiting to be caught.

We're already hard at work putting together everything we know about the update. Check out our Pokémon Go Gen 4 guide, and don't forget to stop by our huge selection of excellent Pokémon Go guides.

Sometimes we include links to online retail stores. If you click on one and make a purchase we may receive a small commission. See our terms & conditions.
