Pokemon GO Moltres Day Adds Sky Attack Moltres on September 8

Burn, baby burn!

Niantic has announced Pokemon GO Moltres Day, a limited-time event that'll take place on September 8. Moltres Day will offer free Raid Passes to all trainers, and will give them a chance to catch a Moltres equipped with the exclusive flying attack move, Sky Attack.

Pokemon GO Moltres Day will be released to trainers everywhere, if they manage to complete Professor Willow's Global Challenges during the Yokosuka Safari Zone event that is. An exclusive Pokemon GO day has taken place after every major event held this year, with Zapdos and Articuno having got the same treatment as well.

The Global Challenges see players in different regions working together to complete objectives. So far, trainers have managed to complete every run of these challenges, so it's pretty much a shoe-in that they'll unlock Moltres Day as well. Exact timings have yet to be announced, though we do know that it'll take place on September 8, and will see a higher chance of getting a Shiny Moltres also.

The Pokemon Go Yokosuka Safari Zone Event takes place on September 1-2, and will see the game take over the city, with trainers meeting up to complete exclusive challenges. It's been a bumper year for Pokemon GO events, with both Pokemon GO Fest and the Safari Zone Dortmund event being great successes.
