What are Galarian Forms?
Galarian Forms in Sword and Shield are similar to the Alolan forms seen in previous games, in which Pokemon native to Galar have distinct appearances and types from their normal forms. They may also learn different moves, or evolve into entirely new Pokemon altogether, such as Meowth evolving into Perrserker.
Are Galarian Forms Better?
No, usually a Galarian form is just in some way different to the original, rather than being better. When choosing between a Galarian or regular Pokemon for your team, look at any weaknesses or types you might need, and choose based on that, assuming you're going for strategy.
