Portable Rifts are Set to Arrive in Fortnite, Patch V5.30 Coming Thursday

This week’s patch will arrive a little later than usual, and week 7 challenges go live on Friday.

Epic Games has started teasing a brand new Fortnite item, Rift-To-Go. It will allow players to deploy a rift wherever they want, teleporting them into the sky where they can ambush from above.

The Rift-To-Go is currently being shown in a pop-up message that triggers when logging onto Fortnite, so is expected to arrive very soon. Conversely, the Fortnite update will be arriving slightly later than usual. Patch v5.30 will now arrive on Thursday.

Epic took to Twitter to announce the timings for the upcoming patch, and also to confirm when we'll be able to jump into the Week 7 Challenges:

It's unclear whether the new item will arrive alongside Patch v5.30, though new items have often coincided with updates in the past.
