This Portable Wii Was Designed to Look like a Nintendo Switch

Looks can be deceiving.

Here's something cool. It's a portable Wii made to look like a Nintendo Switch. I'm not really sure what to do with this information other that I want to make one even though it's far beyond my crafting abilities or budget.

DIY maker Predue89 posted the documentation for their "Swiitch "Wii Portable" on Thingiverse, and it certainly is a thing of 3D-printed beauty. Predue says that they've been sitting on the Wii Portable for some time and that they wanted to share it with the world. You can see a video of the "Swiitch" in action below.

Predue says that in order to build the "Swiitch" one needs a lot of time, money, and good soldering abilities but that it should be do-able with the right skills and resources.

According to the documentation the "Swiitch" features a 5" display hidden by acrylic glass, a carbon filament case, anthracite PLA for the controllers which by the way are non-detachable. It's basically a thick screen emulating the Wii cased in a Switch shell. But it looks handheld and is certainly portable so mission accomplished. You wanted more games on the Switch? How about the entire Wii library?
