PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) has quietly crossed another major milestone. The battle royale action game has reached 1 million concurrent players on Steam. As of this writing, it currently sits at a peak of 1,023,254 players.
Earlier this week, the game crossed a different milestone, this time dealing with sales. PUBG had sold 10 million copies since its launch in March of this year, marking an impressive pace in the last few months. The title remains in Early Access release on Steam, with only a single map and gameplay mode at this point. It is planned for full release later this year.
Though developer Bluehole is slowing down on its patch schedule for the game, they still have more planned additions for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. Those plans include including two new maps, a weather system, the ability to vault over walls, and potential changes to the current playable map. The game is also coming to Xbox One, with Bluehole currently looking into tweaks and fixes to allow Steam and Xbox One cross platform play to go smoothly.
