Quantum Break Coming to Steam on September 14

New retail version of Quantum Break is coming, alongside the Steam release.

Microsoft and Remedy Entertainment have announced that Quantum Break is coming to more platforms in the near future. There will be a Windows PC retail release called Quantum Break: Timeless Collector's Edition and a digital release of the title on Steam. Both versions are coming on September 14, 2016.

The Timeless Collector's Edition won't be coming to retail from Microsoft Studios though. Instead, Nordic Games is stepping in to publish the title. The Timeless Edition will include the game on 5 discs (Steam activation required), a Making Of Blu-Ray and book, the soundtrack, 2 posters, and a quickstart guide.

"After having worked with Remedy on the PC version of Alan Wake in 2012, and with Microsoft Studios on Ori and The Blind Forest: Definitive Edition and State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition, we are proud to announce a new triangle-collaboration with two of our trusted partners," said Nordic Games Business and Product Development Director Reinhard Pollice. "Apart from being a new IP (which is always a brave step), Quantum Break turned out to be a sophisticated, visually stunning shooter with a top-notch cast of actors."

The Steam version of the game drops the Windows 10 exclusivity, allowing the title to be played on 64-bit versions of Windows 7+. Quantum Break: Timeless Collector's Edition, the Windows Store version, and the Steam edition will cost $39.99. For some reason, the Xbox Store version remains $59.99.
