Red Dead Online Players on Xbox One are Dealing With Constant Game Crashes
Players are reporting missing assets, and consistent crashes.
Rockstar is continuing to add updates to Red Dead Online with new modes and content, but it looks like there's some basic performance issues on the Xbox One that needs to be fixed first. Red Dead Online players are reporting that they can't even log into the Red Dead Online lobby before their game freezes and boots them out.
One player notified USG that they've been having problems with Red Dead Online on the Xbox One all week. "I try to log on and within a few minutes I end up freezing then getting kicked out," the tipster said in an email. A quick search on Twitter and Reddit uncovered several players, all on Xbox One, complaining about various performance issues in Red Dead Online.

I'm on Xbox One X. When I log into Red Dead Online, I can't call my horse and then the game crashes within 3 minutes. Every time.

A thread on the Red Dead Redemption subreddit posted yesterday mentions a similar freezing and crashing issue that no amount of console reboots seems to fix. The user also mentions a loud noise that accompanies the crash. Other Xbox One Red Dead Online players are reporting that horses and NPCs don't show up when called, upon which the game crashes.
We've reached to Rockstar Games hoping to find out whether a fix is coming. Rockstar announced a new title update for Red Dead Online next week that includes new modes and events. But there's no mention of an Xbox One fix for Red Dead Online yet.
We'll follow up with Rockstar Games for more info. Until then check out our Red Dead Online guide for our complete coverage on Rockstar's latest online mode.
