Great news PC players, you can now play Red Dead Redemption 2. And while the headline features are gorgeous visuals and a few new missions, it’s also starting to look like mods will be a great scene for the game moving forward. To help you keep an eye on the best mods for Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, we’ll be keeping a regularly updated list, right here on this page.
Red Dead Redemption 2 hasn’t been out for very long on PC yet. Regardless, there’s already some pretty awesome mods to take a look at. Here are the best ones we’ve found so far:

How to Use Mods
Installing Mods for Red Dead Redemption 2 is pretty simple. Just do the following:
- Make sure you backup your game save
- Head to the root game folder
- Add the desired mod file to the game files
Can You Use Mods on Console?
It might be a long while before we start seeing mods for RDR2 on console. For now, you’ll only be able to use them on PC, as you can access the game’s files.
It wasn’t going to be long before we got a Joker mod for RDR2. This is a simple re-texture mod of the main character, Arthur Morgan. This is a likeness of the 2019 Joker, played by Jaoquin Phoenix.
This is an absolutely gorgeous mod that focuses on realism. It enhances colors and shadows, without going too over the top.
This is probably the most fun you can have with a mod in Red Dead Redemption 2 right now. Using the save editor, you can swap out Arthur’s character model for just about anything. Birds, horses, other characters, you name it.
Sometimes you just want to get more out of each day, and with this simple mod, you can. You’ll be able to modify exactly how long you want each day to be.
This mod lets you go super widescreen, unlocking the option to adjust your in-game FOV. You can remove black bars from cutscenes, cinematic cameras, and more. Works on 16:9 resolutions such as 2560x1440.
