Reinhardt's Basically Thor in the Newest Overwatch Animated Short

Dude looks straight up like Chris Hemsworth.

Hot off the tail of announcing a new map and a new hero at BlizzCon 2017, Overwatch brought out Overwatch voice actor Darin De Paul, the heart and soul behind beloved tank character Reinhardt, to debut the latest animated short.

The most recent animation focused on the lovable, ice-gun-wielding Mei, taking a dive into how she became the Mei she is today. Today's new animated short is no different, giving fans perspective on what made Reinhardt who he is today. Like how he got that catch phrase that says "Catch phrase!" (Just kidding.)

In the seven-minute short, we get our first glimpse of a far-younger Reinhardt, one who isn't graying in the beard, hair, and uh, everywhere. His voice is still the same though. We see him fighting alongside fellow Crusaders, basically what that suit of armor is called, and how he was a little bit cockier in his heyday. Like all the Overwatch cinematics though, there's a lot of heart in the short. Maybe you'll think a little bit differently the next time you obliterate an enemy Reinhardt in that throne room of the Eichenwalde map.

You can watch the animated short in its entirety below.
