Resident Evil 3 Remake Voice Cast: Meet the Actors Behind the Game

Resident Evil 3 Remake Voice Cast: Meet the Actors Behind the Game

We look at the cast list and stars of Resident Evil 3.

A survival-horror action game in which heroine Jill Valentine must fight her way out of a zombie-infested city, the Resident Evil 3 Remake includes a range of actors chosen to bring the campy, yet horrific, nature of the story to life. Here we'll look at all the main voice actors, to see who they're playing and what they've been in before. See anyone you recognise?

Who Are the Voice Actors in the Resident Evil 3 Remake?

Resident Evil 3 doesn't have a huge cast - most of the characters are shambling corpses, after all - but those who do have speaking roles are recognised actors with solid reputations. The main cast is as follows:

  • Nicole Tompkins - Jill Valentine
  • Jeff Schine - Carlos Oliveira
  • Neil Newbon - Nicholai Ginovaef
  • Sterling Sulieman - Tyrell Patrick
  • William Hope - Doctor Nathaniel Bard/Mikhail Victor
  • Darren O'Hare - Brad Vickers

Nicole Tompkins - Jill Valentine

Main star of the game, Tompkins plays the determined action heroine and S.T.A.R.S. operative Jill Valentine. Tompkins also played Idril in Middle Earth: Shadow of War, but has a strong history of horror in TV and film, appearing in American Horror Story, the Amityville Horror and Antrum: The Deadliest Movie Ever Made.

Jeff Schine - Carlos Oliveira

Carlos has more of a starring role in the remake than he did in the original game, and with that comes an actor with a long career of video game voice work. It might be quicker to list the games Jeff Schine hasn't been in recently; you can find him in Red Dead Redemption 2, Judgement, Just Cause 4, two separate Call of Duty Games, and he'll be playing Captain America himself in Square Enix's The Avengers game coming out later this year.

Neil Newbon - Nicholai Ginovaef

With over twenty years of experience, British actor Neil Newbon has appeared in numerous video games (the most high-profile appearance besides this one probably being Detroit: Become Human), but he's also appeared in long-running shows like Casualty and Hollyoaks. Here he's playing the ominous Russian mercenary Nicholai, a gunman under the employ of the Umbrella corporation.

Sterling Sulieman - Tyrell Patrick

Tyrell Patrick is Carlos' technically-minded partner who spends much of the game in a supporting role, often functioning as a hacker or communications expert. Tyrell is played by TV veteran Sterling Sulieman, who has some game experience (he played Louis in Telltale's The Walking Dead: The Final Season), but is probably best known for being Nate St. Germain in Pretty Little Liars.

William Hope plays both Mikhail and Dr. Bard. | Joel Franey/USgamer, Capcom Co., LTD

William Hope - Doctor Nathaniel Bard/Mikhail Victor

Hope has a long history of being in major films, with appearances in sci-fi/horror classic Aliens, the second Hellraiser movie, Captain American: The First Avenger, Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes and the 2010 drama The Whistleblower. He's the biggest star in RE3 to play two major roles, cast both as hard-bitten soldier Mikhail Victor and Umbrella scientist Nathaniel Bard.

Darren O'Hare - Brad Vickers

Fascinatingly enough, O'Hare is a former soldier and Counter-Intel Agent, who found a love of acting when he started to learn to remain convincing while undercover. If that's not the coolest backstory to a career, I don't know what is. After completing his service, O'Hare began to work as an actor, and you can see him in Lucifer, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and video games ranging from the newest Spider-Man to the Halo franchise. O'Hare plays Brad Vickers, a cop and supporting character who helps Jill escape Nemesis and prepares her for the dangers of Raccoon City.
