Resident Evil 4 Cheats - Walking Glitch, Bottle Cap Unlocks and Money Cheats For Switch

There are a bunch of hidden cheats and Easter Eggs in Resident Evil 4. Here’s how to use them.

Resident Evil 4 is widely regarded as the pinnacle of the long-running survival horror series. It stars everyone’s favorite mop-headed cop Leon Kennedy, as he fights his way through a spooky village infested with ravenous zombies. And with this being a Resident Evil game and all, there are plenty of secrets, cheats and Easter Eggs to unlock. In this Resident Evil 4 Cheats Guide, we’ll be running you through secrets like the walking glitch, bottle cap unlocks, How to earn a lot of money easily, and more.

Resident Evil 4 Money Cheat - How to Earn Money Fast

While there aren’t cheats in the traditional sense in Resident Evil 4, Capcom did fill the game with a selection of secrets and tricks which will help you get ahead. One such trick is the Resident Evil 4 Money Glitch which can be used to earn up to 8000 PTAS. To do it, head to the area immediately after you exit the Sewer into the Castle. There’s a large ballroom here, where you’ll find a group of monks performing a sacrifice. What you need to do is throw a grenade into the room and kill them before they run away. Every single one of them will drop either a Spinel or a Los Illuminados pendant.

Resident Evil 4 Walking Speed Glitch

One of the best cheats you can use in Resident Evil 4 for Switch is one which increases the walking speed by 1.5 times. In fact, everything from ladder climbing to reloading will be sped up, really useful for fighting the undead. Here’s how to do it:

Equip the Stryker Aim the gun, but before the laser appears press the menu button and equip another weapon. This will cause Leon to perform all actions at 1.5 times speed, though the effect will be removed if he is injured, opens doors, reequips the shotgun, or uses a healing item.

Resident Evil 4 Bottle Cap Rewards

There’s a hidden mini-game that can be accessed at various points throughout Resident Evil 4, boasting some pretty great rewards. You’ll get Pesetas for clearing the Target Practice challenges located at The Temple, The Castle, Mine, and Armory Merchants. You’ll also earn bottlecaps, essentially trophies depicting characters from the game. Here’s how to unlock each one:
