Retronauts Micro Samples the Catchiest Shop Themes
This week, USgamer's classic gaming podcast presents a collection of songs to get you in the spending mood.
If you've ever done your grocery shopping accompanied by a seemingly endless loop of Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe," you'd know just how vital music is to the shopping experience.
That's why I've decided to return to the mixtape well for the episode of Retronauts Micro. Not too long ago, I used this format to explore the best RPG town themes, and this week, we're getting a little more granular in a way Retronauts often does. Now, most games don't bother to include a separate song to listen to while you're spending fictional currency, but the ones that do tend to put their full force behind making these compositions as catchy and peppy as humanly possible. In this episode, I've included what I feel are definitely the most notable songs, but let me know in the comments if I've missed any of your personal favorites!
