Apex Legends' Latest Cinematic Hints at a Future Weapon

Sidewinder inbound.

Turns out there's plenty of details hidden in the latest Apex Legends cinematic. The impressive movie that debuted Revenant, the next character to enter the Apex Games, might have been hiding the next weapon to make it into the arena.

The weapon we're referencing is the Sidewinder. If you pause the video just after Revenant swipes his hand over the screen detailing his assassination target, you can see a weapon hidden underneath the table that was supporting the holographic screen. This looks to be none other than the Sidewinder from the Titanfall universe.

In both Titanfall games, the Sidewinder was a grenade launcher of sorts. It was pretty useless against Pilots, but it could deal some serious damage to an enemy Titan by firing out multiple missiles in quick bursts.

Respawn previously revealed that the Sentinel sniper rifle will be added to Apex Legends with the launch of Season 4: Assimilation, which launches on February 4. There's typically been one weapon added with every new season, with the Charge Rifle being introduced for the current Season 3: Meltdown.

So if the Sentinel is the only weapon being introduced to the upcoming season of Apex Legends next week, it's likely that the Sidewinder could arrive further down the line (if it's going to at all, that is). Apex Legends Season 4: Assimilation will likely introduce the robotic Revenant to the Apex Games on February 4, along with a new Battle Pass, as always.
