Rialto Map Is Now Available in the Overwatch PTR

Get a feel for Rialto's charming streets before they fill with blood.

Overwatch's Italian map, Rialto, is now live on the game's Public Test Realm (PTR). Rialto will eventually become a full PvP map, but for now, players can get a feel for the charming European locale. Just don't dip your feet in the canals. Chances are they're terribly polluted.

Rialto is featured in Overwatch's new lore-focused event, Retribution. Retribution shines some light on Gabriel Reyes, the dark, grim, and somewhat angsty character who's better known as Reaper. Reyes' past saw him drop from Overwatch to Blackwatch and finally to Talon, a terrorist organization.

Keep Rialto clean. Curb your dragon.

A pivotal moment of Reyes' life occurs in Rialto, which makes it a compelling locale to explore. Retribution already put players on the map for a PvE scenario, but the little town is sure to transform once it's swarming with teams working to take each other out. We humans are a crafty bunch when it comes to war and combat; flesh-and-blood players are certain to make Rialto's narrow streets and canals work to their advantage.

We have a breakdown explaining Retribution and how Blackwatch's Rialto incident fits into Overwatch's lore. If you're more interested in the mechanical side of the game, read our hints, tips, and guides about how to master each of Overwatch's characters.
