Rocket League Gets a Hot Wheels Infusion

Rocket League Gets a Hot Wheels Infusion

Classic cars from the Mattel toy series come to Rocket League as DLC.

Developer Psyonix has announced that Hot Wheels cars will be coming to Rocket League on February 21, 2017. Two vehicles, Twin Mill III and Bone Shaker, will be coming to the game with exclusive wheel types and six decals for $1.99 each.

Players who don't pick up the DLC can still unlock Hot Wheels and Shark Bite car toppers, and a Hot Wheels antenna for any of their cars for free. The items will randomly drop post-match once the premium DLC goes live.

Rocket League continues to grow and Psynoix recently announced a $2.5 million investment in Rocket League eSports. The company plans to support more competitive events at standalone venues and gaming conventions. There are also plans for a collegiate Rocket League eSports program, a weekly Twitch talk show, and in-game eSports features.

If you see him around a convention, he's not hard to spot: Black guy, glasses, and a tie.
