Rocket League's Fortnite Style Game Pass is Coming Next Week

Rocket Pass 1 launches September 5

Psyonix has detailed its new Rocket League Rocket Pass, a loot-focused content plan in the vein of Fortnite’s Battle Pass feature. It will arrive September 5, and will have both free and premium content.

The Rocket Pass was officially revealed earlier this year, but now we know exactly what it contains. Rocket Pass 1 will allow players to unlock new gear by playing online games. There will be 29 new items available to everyone, and an additional 70 for those who purchase the premium version. There will be separate seasons of the Rocket Pass, with Rocket Pass 1 ending November 26.

You can check out some of the new car skins and other rewards in the trailer below, or by heading over to the Rocket League website.

You’ll be able to upgrade from free to premium by spending 10 keys. You can also spend additional keys to tier up faster, though you’ll be able to do this by earning XP by playing as well. There are 70 tiers in the premium Rocket Pass, though it’s also possible to keep playing to earn “painted and certified versions of select Rocket Pass items”.
