Rockstar Stokes Fires of GTA Online's Alien Gang War with Free Martian Bodysuits

They know what's been going on, it seems.

The fervor of Grand Theft Auto Online's ongoing extraterrestrial conflict has not cooled with time. In fact, over the weekend, Rockstar announced it was throwing oil on the fire by making the basic equipment necessary for participating in alien melees free for players this week.

Announced on Twitter, green and purple alien bodysuits will be free in GTA Online all week. Additionally, Ammu-nation stores will be giving away pool cues until May 13. This is important, as most alien war purists will say that blunt melee weapons are the instrument of choice.

It wasn't that long ago that the green vs. purple conflict was starting to stir up, and now Rockstar is knowingly ratcheting up the conflict. Alongside the green and purple gangs, factions of space rangers and MIB-style suits have risen up, taking the war to the embattled extraterrestrials.

GTA Online has, over the course of years, evolved from a basic sandbox into a world of role-playing and impossible feats. It's definitely a little zany, but this particular trend has managed to stick longer than most. Maybe it's due to the ongoing stay-at-home orders, keeping more people inside and finding new ways to have fun with older games. Or maybe there's just something appealing about dressing up in a martian bodysuit and walloping random players.

Either way, it's free for a limited time to join the battlefield this week. Hope to see some of you out there in those green or purple suits, keeping the intergalactic chaos alive.
