Sephiroth Is Coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
By god, that's One Winged Angel!
The next fighter joining Super Smash Bros. was announced tonight at The Game Awards 2020, and it's a bit of a surprise. Sephiroth, the antagonist of Final Fantasy 7, is the next combatant joining Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Revealed at the start of the show, Sephiroth was shown slicing the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate antagonist Galeem in half and descending upon the cast. Which, of course, included a cut to a surprised Cloud, who probably felt like we did seeing this surprise appearance.
Sephiroth looks to have plenty of moves using his long sword Masamune, as well as unleashing his singular angel wing. His full move set isn't quite known yet, but it won't be long until we know more. The end of the trailer confirms that Sephiroth will be joining Super Smash Bros. Ultimate sometime this month, in Dec. 2020.
