Seven EA Games Will Launch on Switch in the Next Year

Counting Burnout Paradise and Apex, that leaves five unannounced titles.

2020 is shaping up to be the year where Electronic Arts starts taking the Switch seriously. Tomorrow, Burnout Paradise Remastered will launch on the platform, and Apex Legends is set to make its Nintendo debut soon, but apparently we can expect five more games from EA on Switch over the next 12 months.

This new slate of EA games coming to Switch was announced on EA Play Live 2020, shortly after Respawn Entertainment revealed that Apex Legend is heading to the platform this Fall. It's possible that one or more of the other games being featured on today's stream are also Switch-bound, but EA didn't name any of them right away.

Given that FIFA's been one of EA's few franchises to grace the Switch, it seems like a safe bet that FIFA 21 will be part of the list. Beyond that, you've got to start guessing at which of EA's established series can be ported to Switch and whether or not any new, unannounced titles are on the way.

Could we see EA sticking with the Switch from here on out? It's too early to say, but seven titles in a single year is a lot better than the cold shoulder EA has shown the platform previously.

Switch aside, there's more to see at EA Play Live 2020. Star Wars: Squadrons is getting a gameplay debut during the stream, for one.
