Shin Megami Tensei V for the Nintendo Switch Is Coming to the West

We still don't have a proper release date.

Earlier this year, Atlus announced that the untitled game in development for the Nintendo Switch was in fact Shin Megami Tensei V. Now the company is announcing that Shin Megami Tensei V will be coming west to North American players as well.

Shin Megami Tensei V is still currently in development so there's no release date for when the game might even release. However, we do know that it will be a HD main entry into the series that takes place in modern Tokyo. If Tokyo was overrun by a demon apocalypse.

The game's director, Kazuyuki Yamai, also mentioned that Shin Megami Tensei V will tackle modern themes like the unfair job market, aging, terrorists, and nuclear war. You can watch the reveal trailer below.

Shin Megami Tensei V still doesn't have a release date, so when the game actually comes out is anyone's guess. But when it does finally launch, you can rest easy knowing that a western release won't be far off.
