The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild released nearly three years ago in March 2017, but that hasn't stopped people finding new tricks and shortcuts in the game ever since. It turns out you can propel Link straight through the Lost Woods in no time at all, entirely skipping the puzzle therein.
The manufactured shortcut below is especially impressive. Link is travelling so quickly after being propelled through the air by the bomb that the mist in the Lost Woods can't catch him, and send him straight back to the beginning of the woods to start the puzzle over.
It's insane to me that people are still finding new tricks to Breath of the Wild. It makes me wonder whether I even played the same game as these wickedly creative players. Maybe I played Breath of the Wild a little too conventionally.
Back in September 2019, a brand new speedrunning trick for Breath of the Wild was discovered. As here, it utilized the bomb to impressive effects, practically breaking old routes and records in no time at all.
Don't forget, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is still coming! Around the same time as the aforementioned bomb glitch for speedrunners, the Breath of the Wild 2 team at Nintendo was hiring for "new experiences." While it's not exactly clear what these "new experiences" are, we'll have to wait a little longer to find out any further details on one of the most anticipated games currently in development.
