SNK Global is heading to the EVO Championship Series to champion King of Fighters XIV, which is one of the headlining games of this year's tournament. 374 players have already signed up for the tourney and SNK, Sega, and Atlus are using the chance to highlight all the improvements made to KOF XIV since launch. SNK also has a little extra to show off at EVO 2017, it seems.
In a tweet made earlier today, SNK teased a new project to be shown at EVO.
The "new classic NeoGeo project" statement seems odd. It doesn't sound like another new title or sequel, like King of Fighters XIV. Perhaps the company dug deep and are releasing one of those unfinished and unreleased NeoGeo games? Sprites for the cancelled Garou: Mark of the Wolves 2 game appeared in a 4Gamer interview with the King of Fighters XIV development team last year; maybe they got the game up-and-running?
Regardless, it'll be interesting to see what SNK shows off. EVO 2017 is taking place this weekend, July 14-16, at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada.
